Ingredients
- tomatoes, finely diced (about 240–260 g)2 medium
- onion, finely diced (about 55–70 g)1/2 medium
- jalapeño, seeded and minced (optional)1 small
- lime, juiced1
- chopped fresh cilantro (optional)2 tbsp
- Pinch of salt and fresh black pepper
Steps
- 1.Place diced tomatoes and onion in a mixing bowl.
- 2.Add minced jalapeño (if using) and chopped cilantro.
- 3.Squeeze lime juice over the mixture, season with a pinch of salt and a few grinds of black pepper, and toss to combine.
- 4.Taste and adjust salt or lime. Let sit 5–10 minutes for flavors to meld, then serve.
